Awareness Session
NSS Unit No.10 of Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, in collaboration with the Kerala
Solid Waste Management Project, organized a Solid Waste Management Awareness
Session on 23rd September 2025. The session aimed to educate students and faculty
about the importance of proper waste management for environmental
sustainability.The session was led by Sreevidhya Balan, Social Communication Expert of
KSWMP, who delivered an engaging talk covering topics like waste segregation, the 3Rs
(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), composting, and the impact of improper waste disposal on
health and the environment. Participants actively engaged in discussions, raising
questions on how they could contribute to better waste practices in their daily lives.
