As a proud alumnus of Catholicate College, I had the privilege of being a part of the Botany Department from 1977 to 1980. My life and work have been forever changed by the knowledge and experiences I gained there. Even outside of the botanical sciences, their advice and knowledge equipped me for a fruitful professional career. The Botany Department at Catholicate College played a crucial part in molding me into the person I am today, and for that, I will always be grateful.
Recently visited the Botany department during alumni meeting of our BSc Botany batch of 1972. Was very happy to see the Ginger Garden to preserve a large variety of ginger, indigenous as well as from other places. Many other research projects taken up are praiseworthy. Enthusiasm of all faculty to take up new projects gives hope for a better future. Wish the department all success.
I am really proud to be an Alumni of the Botany Department, Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta. My instinct interest in plant science was effectively ignited through the seven year association with the Department. The Department played a major role in molding me so as to fit in my present career as a Principal Scientist at Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden & Research Institute. I completed my UG & PG from here. Excellent teachers and massive resources are the main pillars of our department. I always received care and proper guidance from our teachers. I always feel proud to be a part of this department.
Good infrastructure with all the modern facilities. Well qualified and experienced teachers to impart scientific temperament. supporting non-teaching staffs. Guiding in academic and non-academic areas and also provided insights about various opportunities.
My overall experience to date has been amazing, and the department has an incredible infrastructure. The department provides whole facilities for effective learning and empowered me with several opportunities to prosper and explore my skills. Proper Field study and practical sessions bring the class more lively and inculcate interest in each student to study plant science. I have always found a positive and healthy environment with highly supportive teachers. They also tried to sustain a good relationship with the students. Faculties enable us to develop scientific attitudes and they are highly dedicated ones too. I'm highly thankful to be part department and college. It has added several values to my life.
The department is student-friendly and with a lot of study resources like Herbarium, Ginger Garden, library and efficient lab facility. Teachers are so friendly and cooperative. It's only through their guidance and effort, I was able to secure such good marks. It was such a wonderful experience being the student of Botany department, Catholicate college, Pathanamthitta.

Teaching staff is very helpful and cooperative. They take their lectures regularly. They also give extra time to students for clearing their doubts. Well maintained lab facilities to meet our academic needs.
Our department is among the top best botany departments of Mahatma Gandhi University. Department facilities like the well-equipped laboratory and department library are up to the mark. Cath herbarium, Ginger Garden and phycotechnology lab further enhance our curiosity about the research aspects. Above all, our faculties are friendly and dedicated to motivating and inspiring us to excel in our studies.

My dear alma mater gave me most cherished years of my life. Five years of studentship here gave me very supportive teachers not only in my studies but in my life itself. I got my best friends from here. My college and my Botany department being the best forever.
It was a great journey of academic life here at Botany Department of Catholicate College. Studying here enabled me to widen my horizon. The unwavering support of the faculty, propelled me to be successful. This department gave me a proper foundation for my career.
I am thankful to all the faculty members for their continuous support and guidance and also for inspiring me at every step throughout my journey. I cherish every moment spent at Catholicate college. The college, especially Botany department has provided me with a number of opportunities to grow and explore my skills.I feel proud and previleged. The two years spent here was splendid and has helped me excel professionally as well as personally. The faculty support was over and beyond limits with strong intentions to mould us to perfection.
