Department of Botany, Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta organised one-day Interactive workshop on Opportunities for Youth in Agriculture in collaboration with ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Thelliyoor, Pathanamthitta on 18.11.2021. The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal of the College Dr Philipose Omman. Dr Binoy T Thomas, HoD of Botany has presided over the session. The meeting was conducted as a part of the scheme 'Attracting and Retaining Youth in Agriculture (ARYA)' initiated by the Govt of India to train the young generation for sustainable practices in Agriculture. Dr Sindhu Sadanandan, subject matter specialist, Agriculture Extention; Dr Shana Harshan, Home Science; Dr Alex John, Apiculture; Dr Rincy Abraham, Horticulture and Dr Sency Mathew, delivered classes on various topics included under the ARYA scheme. Students, teachers and alumni members have Participated in the programme.
