At Catholicate College Pathanamthitta campus, as a part of CATH-Green Initiatives, based on the theme of Think Green, Live Green for a Sustainable future, Bantipoo cultivation was done along with organic farming. Around 300 grow bags of various types of vegetables like chillies, venda, eggplant and tomatoes and a garden of around 100 fruit trees like rambutan, Mango fruit, Jack fruit tree, champa, avocado, star fruit and sapota are being maintained under the leadership of Catholicate Brigade - Social Battalion of Catholicate. The NAAC team highly appreciated the beautifully maintained campus and greenery of the college in their Peer Team Visit which held in the last month as part of the 4th cycle of NAAC Accreditation . Thus the College step towards carbon neutrality through its carbon sequestration. Dr. Sunil Jacob. Principal of the College, Prof. Renny P. Varghese,Bursar and teachers Dr. Deepthi A.S, Boban Aloysius, Sumitha Tom, Priyanka Gopinath, Vivek Jacob Abraham and Captain Jijo K Joseph also took keen initiative in the flower cultivation.
