Bird watching, or birding, is a popular hobby that involves observing and studying birds in their natural habitats. The department of Zoology, Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta organised a bird watching day in accordance with Salim Ali Day observation.
Bird watching was done at karingali puncha region near Pandalam. Sany Mary Benjamin coordinated the program. The second semester PG students and students of bird club participated in the program.
Bird watching can be a calming and peaceful activity, allowing students to connect with nature. It provides a platform for students to meet and share knowledge. And also it can contribute to citizen science projects, helping researchers understand bird populations and habitats.
